The Longhorn Aquatics Diving program offers quality instruction in Olympic-style diving for ages six and up at all skill levels. Our members range from beginners to National and Olympic caliber divers. All diving groups have access to two overhead spotting stations, a bubble machine (sparging system), dry diving board, and two trampolines.
Entry into any of the diving programs described below requires an onsite try-out and an invitation from the head diving coach.
11& Under Diving
Practices: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 5:00-6:30 PM
Skill development: Divers in this group will work on obtaining a Junior Olympic dive list as defined by USA Diving: 3 voluntary dives (directional dives), and 3 optionals (somersaults or more).
All divers in this group must have AAU Memberships.
12-13 Diving
Practices: Monday thru Thursday, 5:00-6:30 PM
Skill development: Divers in this group will work on obtaining a Junior Olympic dive list as defined by USA Diving: 5 voluntary dives (directional dives), and 2-3 optional dives (somersaults or more) depending on gender.
All divers in this group must have AAU Memberships.
14-18 Diving
Practices: Monday thru Thursday, 6:30-8:00 PM
Skill development: Divers in this group will work on obtaining a Junior Olympic dive list as defined by USA Diving: 5 voluntary dives (directional dives), and 5-6 optional dives (somersaults or more) depending on gender.
All divers in this group must have AAU Memberships.
Talent ID Diving

Skill requirement: Divers will develop specific skill progressions as defined by the designated coach. Heavy meet participation and attendance requirements are mandated for this group. Enrollment is by coach’s invitation only.
Podium Diving

Practices: Monday thru Friday, 5:00-8:00pm & Saturday TBA
Skill requirement: Podium is for national caliber divers who regularly qualify for the US Diving National Championships and place in the top 12 for their respective age group. Must be committed to attend all US Diving meets (unless prequalified) and are expected to train 5-6 per week.
Participation by head coach invitation only. All divers in these groups must have AAU and USA Diving Competitive Gold memberships. All divers in these groups are expected to compete at ALL USA Diving meets that they are qualified for: Junior Regionals, Zones and Nationals.
High School Diving
Practices:
- Monday and Wednesday Group 6:30-8:00 PM
- Tuesday and Thursday Group 6:30-8:00PM
Note: Please note that there are two separate High School Groups; Monday/Wednesday OR Tuesday/Thursday. Divers may only attend practice two days a week, you may only attend practice on your registered days.
Duration: September to February
Skill development: A specialized group for Texas high school divers, ages 13-19 years old. Geared towards 1m springboard only, focusing on 6 dive and 11 dive lists required for the High School diving season. Participants are not required to attend local club diving meets.
All divers in this group must have AAU Memberships.
College Diving
This program runs during the university’s summer and winter breaks and serves former Longhorn Aquatics members who want to continue training when their teams are not holding regular practices. Each diver must receive approval from the current Head Coach. Contact the TXLA Membership Office for registration details and fees: 512-232-5660.

- The diving tryout coordinator conducting the tryout will also meet with parents and athletes to discuss group options, schedules, fees, and answer any questions
- Provide proof of AAU and/or USA Diving membership within 7 days of joining
